| This database includes use information, under 10 categories, on over 14,000 tree species, along with data on the natural distributions of the species across 242 countries and territories. The database was built to support the greater use of native tree species in tree planting. GlobUNT is useful primarily for development practitioners and landscape managers who want to decide what tree species to plant where, to support particular uses. |
