Summary
This technical note explains how to go about labelling individual trees that may be in situ or in trials or botanic gardens or other collections. This is important to keep track of the identity of the tree; for example, when measuring it in trials or when collecting seed from it. The note is useful primarily for researchers. The note was developed for Indonesia, but is of general use.
